In order to improve sustainability, rationalize the use of resources, and promote energy savings in both its factory and offices, Quare has been implementing various measures with these approaches since 2022.
For this reason, a sustainability plan has been designed that promotes responsible consumption and energy saving, with increasingly eco-efficient production. These initiatives drive the Ecological Transition with concrete actions seeking to minimize environmental impact through energy saving and resource optimization habits, recycling, and sustainable mobility.
SOLAR PANELS
Quare’s flagship project has been the installation of solar panels on the factory roof. In addition to promoting industrial self-consumption, this reduces our carbon footprint and allows us to invest the energy savings in continuing to improve our facilities to implement measures and projects that promote greater sustainability. The project culminated with the commissioning of the installation in June 2022, which allowed us to gradually reduce our dependence on external sources of electricity.
Sustainability and energy savings in a chemical factory are essential to reducing its environmental impact and contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable future. By implementing energy efficiency strategies, using renewable energy sources, properly managing waste and chemicals, and promoting innovation and collaboration, Quare achieves a balance between efficient production and respect for the environment.
The implementation of these principles has led us to achieve results that have earned us recognition from Ecovadis, Europe’s leading provider of sustainability and business ethics ratings.
