FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our products, technical specifications, and work procedures.
Materials and Quality
What materials are Quare products made of?
Almost all of our products are made from Quarex, an exclusive material composed of resin and high-quality mineral fillers. This material offers superior impact resistance, is antibacterial, and allows for unique textures with a warm, Antislip coating.
The only products not manufactured by Quarex are bathtubs and freestanding hand washbasins. These latest products are made from Q-Tek, a solid surface material specially designed for large-scale products
¿El Quarex lleva revestimiento?
Yes. Quarex features an exceptionally thin coating, distinct from gel coat, that preserves textures without dulling them, resulting in a natural appearance and a warm feel. Its superior hardness makes it particularly resistant to scratches, UV rays, and hydrolysis.
Additionally, it has a natural Antislip coating.
What makes the Quarex coating so special?
This is a high-tech, three-component coating that provides superior adhesion to the substrate, creating a bond at the molecular level. In addition, the coating has undergone hydrolysis testing, confirming that there is no risk of water penetration. The coating is also UV-resistant, meaning the color will not fade. Finally, it contains silver molecules that provide antibacterial protection.
At Quare Design, we have adapted a unique technology to our industry to ensure that the color remains vibrant.
Are Quare shower bases scratch- and chemical-resistant?
Yes. The surface of our products is designed for heavy-duty use. They are highly resistant to stains and common cleaning chemicals, retaining their color and texture over time.
Are the bathtubs also made of Quarex?
No. We have chosen to offer a new premium formula, Q-Tek, which is particularly well-suited for large products such as bathtubs or freestanding sinks due to its lightness.
This lightness is also visually apparent thanks to the slimness and elegance of the edges.
Do the products have an Antislip coating?
Safety first. All of our shower bases are certified to meet the required Antislip coating standards to ensure maximum user safety, making them ideal for both private homes and commercial projects and hotels.
In fact, the Pizarra (Slate) and Street textures are particularly well-suited for projects that require the highest Antislip coating ratings (Class C, Class 3 / PN24).
Customization and Measurements
Are shower bases available in custom measurements?
Yes. At Quare Design, we offer a wide range of measurements to suit the needs of every project. Each of our models comes in a specific range of measurements, allowing you to find the ideal technical solution for every space without the need for manual adjustments or cutting on-site, thus ensuring a flawless factory finish.
What customization options do you offer in terms of textures and colors?
Customization is our cornerstone. Our products can be manufactured in a wide variety of exclusive textures (such as Pizarra – Slate – , Street, or Crocodilo) that lend a unique character to the bathroom. In addition, beyond our standard colors, we can produce pieces in any color from the RAL and NCS color charts, allowing for seamless integration with the project’s interior design.
How do I choose the right combination for my project?
Thanks to our advanced manufacturing process, architects and interior designers can combine styles, textures, and colors to create cohesive spaces. Since our products feature standardized measurements and high-precision finishes, we ensure that the final result matches the design exactly, with a minimalist and technical aesthetic.
I need a quarter-circle shower base. Is that possible?
Yes. At Quare, we offer custom cuts for both shower bases and countertops. Based on your needs, our technical department will work with you to bring your project to life.
Do you have products specifically designed for people with limited mobility?
Yes. In fact, you can design an entire bathroom suitable for people with reduced mobility using Quare Products. The Relief Plus XL shower bases, which are extra-large and feature a slate-textured finish (Antislip coating class C / 3 / PN24), the Poseidon bench, the Metropolitan countertop with its wall-mounted drain, and the height-adjusted cistern cover for WC designed for people with reduced mobility are all ideal products for enhancing accessibility.
Is it possible to cut the products during installation?
Yes. All shower bases and wall panels can be cut on site using a diamond saw, although we obviously always recommend requesting exact measurements so that the cut can be made at the factory.
Installation and Maintenance
How should Quare shower bases be cleaned?
For daily maintenance, we recommend using a soft cloth, water, and mild soap. It is important to avoid abrasive scouring pads or products containing strong solvents. Thanks to our non-porous surface technology, dirt does not penetrate the surface, making it easy to keep it clean with minimal effort. Please feel free to check out our maintenance tips, which are available on the product pages.
Can I use vinegar to remove limescale?
The answer is yes. Here are two ways to clean our products using vinegar.
Option 1: Let the industrial-grade cleaning vinegar (not suitable for food use) sit on the sample for half an hour at a temperature between 20–25°C. After this time, scrub the treated area with a sponge and rinse it thoroughly with water.
Option 2: Since shower bases may have areas where it is not possible to let the vinegar sit, the alternative in those areas is to apply the vinegar by scrubbing vigorously with a sponge and then rinsing thoroughly with water.
How do you install Quare products?
All of our products are quick and easy to install. You can find all the installation manuals and videos you need to guide you through the installation process on our website. Click here to view them.
What happens if my product has a scratch?
You’re in luck: all of our Quare Design products are repairable.
Our repair kits use the same products and in the same proportions as those we use in our production process to ensure the quality and excellence of our products. The application process is simple, and we offer step-by-step videos on how to perform a repair using our kits, available here and through our technical support team.
What are the advantages of installing Wall Panels instead of tiles in a shower area?
Installing Wall Panels has many advantages:
- Easy to install (takes less time since it’s a single piece).
- Maintenance and hygiene (easier to maintain due to fewer joints).
- Cost-effective due to reduced installation time.
If I install a cistern cover for WC and the tank breaks, do I have to break the cistern cover to repair it?
No. Simply remove the Silicone, and you’ll be able to uninstall the flush valve, access the tank to repair it, and then reinstall it.
